Feedback from Nepal Volunteers
Here are some of the emails we have received from volunteers about their experiences in Nepal.
"Sorry I haven't emailed you any sooner. Everyone there was really lovely and I'm glad I had the opportunity and hope one day I can go back and stay for longer.
I cant thank you, the staff in the organisation in NZ and Nepal, enough for giving me that great opportunity. It's really helped me as a person and change my outlook on life, commitments and
responsibility.
Good luck with your organisation and thank you again,
Rym
"I spent two weeks in Nepal and came back 2/3 weeks ago - I had a great time thank you, I was extremely sorry to leave!
Regards,
Catherine"
"The weeks just keep flying by. It is hard to imagine that I have been here for almost 2 months. My placement will end in 3 weeks, then I have 3 weeks for my own personal touring. I am spending most of my time teaching at the local government school and I would be more than willing to pass on some information to interested volunteers.
Thanks
Areef"
"Yes ... all is well . Got to rush cos internet cafe closing. Having a great time. The INFO people Asim, Krishna , Harie are great ..... Wish I could stay longer .. Off to placement tomorrow. Really keen and ready to start. Got Nepali language down to a tee (OK kind of!)

"I'm settling in well here in Nepal and have met lots of nice, interesting people.
The training was fine and took place both in Kathmandu and in a local village. I've been in Chitwan for 1 week now and this morning was the first time I had taught at the Resource Centre there.
Absolutely no problems though with my position here, health etc. and I'm looking forward to the rest of my stay in Nepal.
Thanks,
Liam
"I am so impressed with your program, the ease at which you've handled all the volunteers, and how responsive and informative you are. Thank you so much Colin. I am very happy to be doing a program with an organization like yours.
Cheers
Dave"
"I just arrived in Kathmandu yesterday evening after a rather stressful week in India so at the moment I am just relaxing a little.
I went and met Emma today. She is absolutely lovely and am so grateful that she is taking care of things for me here.

"I'm having a great time. I just got back from Godawari a couple days ago, and I'm off to Chitwan tomorrow where I'll stay for a couple months. Asim has just been terrific, and he and his wife have been excellent hosts.
Thanks!,
Alex"
"Hello, Colin, I just came back from my placement in Chitwan, I am in Kathmandu organizing my holidays in Tibet.
Chitwan was great, an incredible experience, the family was amazing.

Rhaiza"
"Hello,
The website looks really good. I am particularly impressed with the audio and visual links for Nepal. Brings back a lot of memories.
If you would like any feedback, or help in the future with the Nepal programme, or with reviewing materials for the programme, feel free to approach me as I am very willing to help.
My experience in Nepal was unforgettable, and I am very much hoping to go back again soon. I had so much fun with my family, the students, the locals and other volunteers.
Best Wishes,
Scherie (Chitwan Resource Centre)"
"Later we went to find our Didi We couldnt even go into the kitchen because of all the smoke. There was no ventilation at all in there. We had been talking about how I had plans for next year, how I want to go travelling again and work overseas. We now talked about how her goals for next year might be to get ventilation in her kitchen. And my goals seem far more conceivable."
