Start Learning Spanish Online Before You go!
:: What you need
:: How it works
:: The CoursesCourses can be tailor-made to the individual, as some people learn faster than others. You also choose how many lessons to have each week, which will affect your progress. If you have already learned a foreign language previously, this tends to result in faster learning. Lessons are usually 1 hour each and the recommended pace is 3 lessons per week.Survival Spanish Course: This is half the normal beginner's A1 course. When 15 hours of A1 level is completed, the average student can converse in "survival Spanish" meaning you can ask directions (and understand the answers), introduce yourselves, order food in a restaurant, and make basic small-talk. So, a student taking 3 hours a week of classes, doing 3 hours a week homework and being of average aptitude, can achieve some functionality in Spanish in 5 weeks. Beginner's A1 Course: For the typical beginner, it takes 30 hours of lessons to complete the A1 course. 30 hours will give you a beginner's level Spanish, meaning that you can communicate your basic needs in most day-to-day situations and can understand the responses. So, a student taking 3 hours a week of classes, doing 3 hours a week homework and being of average aptitude, can speak beginners level Spanish in 10 weeks. Full Course list is as follows:
