Nina
Ninas intellectual disabilities appeared immediately after her birth. She has never seen her father, and her mother had constant difficulties with alcohol. Nina was cared for her by her grandmother, who had to work to support the family.
When Nina was four years old she watched her mother die; she refused to be hospitalized after falling into a fever while drunk. Nina is unable to attend school for medical reasons, so Nina is educated from home.
At present Nina lives with her grandmother, sister and brother in a small and run-down flat. Because she wears torn clothes and sleeps on an old broken sofa without blankets, she is always cold during the winter.
