Jo Salisbury
Joanne has taught at the primary school level for 5 years but took time off to raise 2 children in 1999. During this time Global Volunteer Network was beginning to be developed and the need to help in the area of administration became a new focus.
During 2002 she was lucky enough to be able to participate as a volunteer in the Romania program working with the orphans there that had been taken in by an American couple who have now dedicated the rest of their lives to raising these children. This enabled her to use her skills in working with the children as well as see the needs of a volunteer and what tools would be helpful when travelling in an unknown country. Any spare time is spent with her 2 beautiful daughters, helping in community work and enjoying the stunning lifestyle of New Zealand.
