Vietnam • Vietnam Fundraising Appeal

The orphanage in Da Nang currently takes care of 35 babies in the age range of 0-3 years old. Thanks to the support of many people all over the world, enough money has been raised to hire a medical staff to attend to these babies' health needs on a regular basis. However, there is one premature 3-month-old boy by the name of Lan that cannot benefit from this new medical care.

For more information on Lan, and on how you can help him, please visit http://www.volunteer.org.nz/communityfund/vietnam.

Ecuador • Machu Picchu Trek

In August 2006 we will be hiking to Machu Picchu in Peru to raise funds for endangered rainforest in Ecuador. After the hike we will fly to Ecuador where we will visit Ecuador's Amazon Rainforest. These rainforests are among the most threatened pristine forest eco-systems on the planet. Our partner in Ecuador created the Amazon Biological station in 1986 to address their rapid destruction. The funds raised from this trip will allow our partner to buy additional land within two of their reserves and increase their infrastructure on the Galapagos Islands.

Please visit http://communityfund.volunteer.org.nz/ecuador/ for more details about this exciting adventure.
