Join our Nepal Environmental Awareness Expedition in September 2003. We will be spending two
weeks in the Chitwan district in the Terai region which is 160 Kms to the south of Kathmandu.
You will be part of a team of 10 volunteers and 2 GVN staff members. The expedition aims to
further our understanding of the environmental issues facing the rural people of Chitwan and
to promote sustainable environmental practices in the local schools.

:: Expedition Cost
The costs are as follows:
Nepal Environmental Awareness Expedition Deposit: US $250.00 Dollars. This covers administration,
marketing, program information, and communication. (Please note that the deposit secures your place on the
expedition and is non refundable).
Nepal Environmental Awarenesst Expedition Fee: US $1000.00 Dollars. The Expedition fee covers airport pickup,
food, accommodation, program costs and internal travel. (This fee is due 10 weeks before you join the expedition).
You will need a weekly budget of up to US$20 to cater for all your other expenses
like personal costs, beverages and entertainment.
The other costs you will need to meet are:
Your flights, visa, travel insurance, and departure tax.

Application Process
All, applicants will be notified by email as to whether their application has been successful.
(1) Complete the Application Form: Fill out the application form below. Upon receipt of the form we will assess your suitability for the expedition.
(2) Contact You: If you are successful we will then email you a letter of acceptance.
(3) Decision Point: Once you have read through the letter of acceptance and we have answered any questions or concerns that you might have, it is time to pay your deposit to secure your place on the expedition.
(4) Confirmation: Once the application fee is paid, we will contact you to ensure everything is organized. We will also send you the link to our 23 page program guide which covers topics such as: country information, travel links, visa application process, fundraising ideas and much more!
(5) Communication & Support: Throughout the application process we will communicate with you and answer any questions you may have.
