GVN's environmental partner organization is dedicated to promoting sustainable agro-forestry and environmental conservation in Ghana. They aim at contributing positively to help reduce poverty, hunger, malnutrition, unemployment, and environmental degradation that are increasingly becoming the order of the day in most parts of the developing world. Volunteers usually work alongside local Ghanaians, contributing to projects such as transplanting seedlings, harvesting and packaging seeds, watering, and planting crops to demonstrate the benefits of inter-plantation.

Donations to this project would be used by our partner, a local Ghanaian NGO, to purchase supplies for seed-packaging, tools for work in the field, gloves for the laborers and volunteers, the lease of more land for tree-planting projects, and vehicles for transportation of the volunteers, laborers, and tree seedlings from the town to the tree-planting site. Our partner would also like to create educational literature to inform the local community about why they should help preserve their forests.
